AXLER8 has 1.6 second 60 foot FARK!!!!!!!! must have slicks!

With slicks i might get into the low 12's with a restrictor!

TOMSUN
My car has standard cams and is running about 17PSI then falls over to about 7PSI at the top end caused by the 36mm RESTRICTOR. The turbo is a Garrett GT2871 R, with the 36 mm restrictor 50mm away from the inpeller blades

i believe the setup has been inspected and sealed somehow to qualify for his racing... if he took it out the seal would be broken and he'd have to get it inspected again... unless he chucks a completely new turbo on it!

I can confirm that AXLER8 ran that 60ft & elapsed time with NO slicks and an open diff :beer

True Story

To remove it is not a problem But. To to refit it and having it inspected involves presenting the turbo to CAMS (not fitted to the car)

Pulling a 1.6s 60 foot time, it should be good for a high 11s... open diff? WOW!

Barney,

You have the GT2871R

***********************
Garrett GT2871R 390hp or 440hp ball bearing turbo

This turbo is the next step to the GT28RS Disco Potato with the same basic configuration but with a larger 71mm comp wheel.

These units are available in 48 and 56 trim, with the 56 trim rated at 440hp potential. They come with the .86 exhaust housing as standard, but can be optioned with the .64 housing subject to availability.
*************************

I was looking to get that turbo...
What trim do you have??
what exhaust housing do you have???

What would it be like on the street? Peeky power or broad range?
When does it start to make boost?

how the hell do you pull a 1.6 60ft with open diff and no slicks? I take it you are running some street legal autox tires or something?

Yeah some luck was surely involved, all the other runs he did that day were in the 2.X 60ft zone.

Luck!!! "Lucky I found that extra grip and power... Maybe it was hiding in my ashtray all along..." LUCK????

I wouldn't be supprised if he staged his car with the rear wheels... expecially to have such a big difference in 60' times!!!

Or that is someone elses time slip... They can get mixed up...
