NZ WTB: Starion TBI unit
Hey guys, I am after a complete Starion throttle body injection unit to put on my '80 Sapporo. I want the one with the oval intake - any condition is fine as I intend on rebuilding it with new o-rings and gaskets.
Let me know what you guys have.
Cheers,
Phil

Hrmm I may be able to use the injectors out of my round port unit but not sure.
I don't really want to go MPI as thats a bit of fab work and plus I would have to get an aftermarket computer which I don't really want to do. This car isn't going to be a speed king but I just want it to run a bit better than it is now. I'm happy to stick with the SOHC and ECI. If I were to go MPI I may as well go the whole hog and get a VR-4 head and associated DOHC bits.
How much would postage be from you to Hamilton New Zealand post code 3216?
Cheers,
Phil

well in Australia anyway. We got the one you pictured there in our JA Starions only. JB, JD Starions, AA, AB, AC Turbo Cordias went to the circular inlet that is usually referred to as "type 2" injection.
-JA Starion with JD bits , Forged engine, Heaps of mods (parked up)

OK, that unit U have is a MIKUNI unit, we didn't get these delivered here in Oz, I think I have 1 of those, I have 3 JA's & 2 JB's, now the injectors in yr TB are almost the same as JA units, but from memory the flow is different, what is wrong with yr injectors? if they R ok, use them in one of our JA mixers TB, which I can supply.... If U want I can take pics to clarify :beer
