My other project car......

Post by redzone »

1975 TX gemini coupe, powered by a full house Isuzu 4ZD1 rodeo motor, garrett GT3040R BB, 65mm ext gate, ford top loader liberty geared(clutchless shift) 4 speed box (to be bought still) and borg warner 28 spline LSD disc brake 3.7 ratio diff.

aiming for 9 sec quarters running 26X8.5 inch slicks. micheal sheringhams FJ20DET auto gem runs 8.81 untubbed so its not unachievable! weighs 898kg stock, prob around 1000kg including driver when all done... so building around 550 flywheel horsepower should do the trick!

so now u all know why i`m selling the orange car..... :pimp

paint was done 3 years ago, cost me 5 grand. still looks like it was done yesterday! i`ve owned this thing since 1997, had it on the road looking very similar between 2000 and end of 2002 with an EFI G200, did flat 15`s. too slow!

getting enthused about it again, made a promise to myself that i wouldn`t race at jamboree next year unless its in this thing!

yeah should be fun! i think there`ll be a long line of people wanting a ride eh LOL

money from the orange car pays for injectors engine internals ECU gearbox & diff conversions and some interior retrimming work. probably take me 6 months to finish after the orange thing is gone..

jambo this year was awesome, i top qualified in street class and got runner up on 11.00 dial in's

here's the final:

so i now have to get the car tech'd..

i was running full street trim all weekend, 225/50/15 ET streets, all i did was drop the tyres pressures! it dyno'd 422rwhp on 26psi, i was running 22psi at jambo & about 370rwhp so i wouldnt run a 10. ha bloody ha!
