As was sorta said before, I don't think the fame of the GTR is because of games, I think it is because it won almost every race it was in by a decent margin which earned it the nick name godzilla, and got it banned from racing.

This is correct. There was a GTS-R version with an RB20-DET-R engine (Different tune and internals), larger turbo, custom exhaust manifold, and short shift kit for the 5 speed box , all as standard.
All were a cusco blue colour, or black, and had a factory bodykit, and a projector style light in the headlamps.

Very rare, only 800 in the world apparently...
This was a homogamated version for group A racing, and the prelude to the R-32 GTR.

There was also an old school GT-R from the late 60's, with a front end similar to a dato 1600 (quad headlight set-up), which also deserves a mention for this thread (It was the first GT-R)

the model number is kpgc10 or could have been 110 and is the first skyline, i think it was made by prince motor company. Engine was a s20 2 litre dohc, made 160 hp all this back in the late sixties.

best thing about the gtr.. u can take out the 4wd solanoid will convert it to rwd or u can by-pass switch in side the cockpit.. switch off for drifting an burn outs.. or on for when u might need to drag someone..

R32 & R34 are the nicest.
I also like the Mercedes CLK GTR. It's wild!

if it was a life and death decision.... R33 GTS-t

because the GTR is always 4wd (33 and above) and i couldnt handle not having a RWD car..

only if my life was at stake and i wasnt depressed

R32 GTR by far.
I was in Japan last month and think I saw an "R35 GTR". The car looked like the newest model of skyline over there except for the bodykit and interior (both appeared to be factory fitted) and also the GTR badge on the back. Looked very nice indeed. :)
