EOI White 1986 GSR-V ...sold!

Post by JDSTAZ45 »

Much to my surprise, the black Widey I recently bought to on-sell is not going anywhere fast!
So, as a consequence I'm looking for someone to take over the reigns to finish off the white GSR-V. There's too much on my plate with 4 starions!
I'm curious to see if there is more interest in a rare Starion with a cheaper price tag!

Details of the car as follows;
2L Dash motor with 180,000km's
Microtech LT8 running 2 large injectors on standard dash manifold.
Rebuilt turbo
King Springs with Konis on front.
5 stud set up with slotted rotors on front. Rears included but not put on as yet!
Black interior.
Recently serviced with new filters etc
Rego til Sept 2012.
Issues with car is the rear LHS quarter is damaged but temporarily repaired. Can offer a rear LHS quarter for free.
Front guards have rusty corners at bottom. Doors are fine!
Steering box is leaking. Will try to have it fixed if I can arrange.
Turbo return line leaking as well.
Gearbox crunches at high revs. Okay with normal city driving.
No LSD, just a small open 3.9 but have one in the pipeline.
Happy to help out with bringing this car back to former glory :)

Price I'm looking at is $2500 without LSD. In a lot of ways, it's a bargain but it needs work. The car is driven regularly! PM me for any interest in the car.

A few pics.

Hehe! If others are keen, that's fine by me, I actually don't need another car, but was tempted because registration would be easy for me. But go for it Redzone if you after it :)

So cheap! And I've always wanted a GSR-V too...

Good luck with the sale mate, hell, if it's still here in two weeks to a month I'll probably buy it myself :)

I can personally vouch that this car goes pretty quick too! Cos I installed the second larger injector and the Microtech and had it tuned etc.

I also neatly installed the Microtech inside the factory ECU metal box, with a small hole in the bottom of the metal box for Serial cable for the programming handset. I matched the Microtech up to the factory loom as well, so it is still the factory loom, although I ran new higher grade wires for the injectors as those wires were a little old.

Ah, stuff it.
Better buy it soon if you want it guys, because if nobody's bought it by next week I'm going to. Just need to talk the bank into letting me into my term savings account.

You only live once, right? lol :)

Unless there is a joke i'm not seeing that doesnt matter here.

When you get back to brisbane, you just take it for an inspection and then go to QLD transport and transfer the rego.

Yep that's spot on- when I had that car before I sold it to Mal, I bought it in uppper NSW, and flew up and drove it up to Gold Coast for a day, and then down to Melbourne (I live in Melbourne) and it did great. Then when Mal bought it, he drove it back up to Sydney haha!
So yes, I would say you'd be fine driving it up there, and it still has registration, so all good.
