Just for curiousity, can you run by him whether he is able to re-produce the flared rear quarters on a widebody
on a flatty if both cars were in his workshop????

Basically, building up the flared wheel arch and door mods by addding on to the rear quarter and not interfering with the side spoiler below the glass...

Small intricate sections can be bought from the US and welded on to help complete!!

Get my drift....???

To what end? The cost of doing all that work, plus paint would be near or over the cost of buying or importing a widey (less suspension etc). Maybe if you wanted a wide widebody.....

Agreed. However, if converting a certain flatty (GSR-V) to a A184A widey, I dont think you will be out of pocket! Admittedly, not original, but very rare!

Also, I reckon some JD's could be converted as well....as there are many parts similar....
I suppose it does come down to money, but I'm taking the assumption it would cost a grand each side!!

I wouldn't try and replicate a mitsu style widebody, but I would love to see someone create a Super Silhouette Formula style Starion with "real" group C style boxed guards, see link for theme inspiration.

Massively dished wheels and a stripped/caged interior would set this thing off big time.
I'd also go for a white exterior/burgandy interior scheme like my JB or the jap spec silver/burgandy metalic two tone for real 80's future car pimp bosozoku style :D .

i reckon narrowbodies look fine as is.. the sides and back of the starion are perfectly proportioned in my opinion.. it's just the front that I would change somewhat..

deep dish wheels are always a go.. i like the ones that are not too big in diameter, but ultra deep.. if i could get 16x9s for my rear with a 0-ish offset i'd be grinning from ear to ear.

Looks good but notice the strengthening of the sills to compensate for the loss of structual ridgeidity & would have to be engineered as well $$$$$$$$$$$$

It's hard to tell from the pics but it looks like the rear seat has been replaced with a sub box?
I doubt this door setup would still allow acceptable rear passenger access so probably couldn't engineer with a rear seat anyway.

The front seatbelts are mounted in a more convensional style, would love to see better pics on how they did this bit. Door mounted seatbelts are probably the starions worst feature, despite it's quirky gimmick value.

If you really want to think outside the square, consider sliding doors, electrically operated of course. Great in tight car parks. :)
