new bodies and old bonnets
new bodies and old bonnets
I have seen alot of pics on this website of widebodies with no bonnet scoops and with bonnet scoops. Am I correct in thinking that all widebodies came without the scoops ala JB and JD and that the owners are sticking on the old JA bonnets coz they look so much better. I remember when I had my old Staz the bonnet scoop is what said it all about the car.

naw they are pretty rare here. We didnt get the starion until 1983, so we only had the bonnets for one year, and most people cracked their head from overheating, parked it, then the car gets crushed down the road.

Nope. They came with flat bonnets, as I have the GSR-VR Jap brochure!tri26t wrote:My Jap spec came with JA bonnet, I hope this
was the original, because the widies (jap spec)
all have JA bonnets -DONT THEY ?????
Cheers:Phil.
I'm still sitting on the fence whether they are actually better aesthetically!!

I'm moving towards the flat bonnet to be honest... Think i'm going to put mine back on.
The scooped bonnet is cool but the front looks to "busy" with the extra intake.... to much with all the intakes and what not at the front.

I like both,, On the JD the flat bonnet suits the lines, nice and smooth.
On the JA it makes it unique.
Ive got both types now to swap on the JA.

I have both as well and will run what I feel like and they are easy to swap over if there are two of you anyway. I wouldnt mind doing a custom one as well with bulge like earlier EVOJD_Stazza_Brendan wrote:I like both,, On the JD the flat bonnet suits the lines, nice and smooth.
