If you had $50,000 to blow on a car

Post by WANTSOM »

What would you buy?

Rules of game -

1. Has to be road registerable
2. No modifications to motor/driveline except exhaust/inlet upgrade
3. Free scope on wheels/suspension/brakes
4. The car must be available in Australia for under $50,000

Just interested in how people would blow $50,000 and on what and why.

My pick = Ferrari Dino GT4. Why - just look at the name then listen to that motor up in the rev range.

get myself a 58 plymouth belviedere or fury coupe. "CHRISTINE"
put some massive 20inch 100 spoke wheels with spinners, then add hydraulics or air bags...prob air bags as you dont have to strengthen chassis, an cheaper. throw in a nice system an just cruiz to 50s an 60s beats.

1 tough looking car.

for me the choice is easy. Im a huge BMW fan so I'd probably have to go with something in the old school cool catagory. An immaculate BMW 3.0csl would do me just fine

1996 LT4 Corvette, Black, Big Loud exhaust and apparently underrated and overengineerd at 330hp. Good for flat 13's.

(cost wise over half would go towards shipping and conversion :( )

1965 Ferrari Dino Spyder! Mmmmmmm!

or a 66 Red v12 e-Type coupe with the wire spoke wheels.

Can we make it $100,000 neither of the above would come in under $50k :(
