Thanks fellas!
Now for those people with weaker stomachs you may not want to view this thread any further. The process so-far has made "ME" feel sick on several occasions :(
Anyway, Here goes____

Now i know the above pics are going to attract all kinds of nasty comments about destroying a perfectly good car BUT, I am very confident that the end result will justify the work

:)

Probably already worked this out but take your time with the flares. Rushing to finish the job will show up in the final result. Do a good job and youll have a very unique Starion...

It wont be a narrowbody anymore, and its not a widebody.
Narrow body with implants??

Im mainly doing the ground work for the flares myself! The car will be going to my panel beater buddy(everyone should have one) in Mandurah, and he will do the final fit and paint. As you can see im no panel beater LOL
As far as what its going to be.... don't know! I just wanted something a bit different :beer

Great work, Silas.

A couple of those pictures almost made me :puke (bit like watching invasive surgical operations on TV), but the end result promises to be excellent.

Did you just bog up the cut lines or did you weld them then grind flat, then bog.
While you have it open, get some sealer in there to prevent rusting from the inside.

I welded up all along the face of the wheel arch and the stitch welded between the cuts! Then as you say Al i had to grind down the welds and put
light coat of filler!

This is the other side underway!

Sorry going off topic but you wouldn't have any details of Neil Philpotts Evo 8 engine into starion conversion would you?
I know it's a race car with more freedoms for mods than a road car but was just interested in what he had done regarding gearbox, engine mounts etc?
Thanks

Biltel, I believe Silo got the flares from this mob here in Perth (according to a previous post on page 2):

Spoilers 'N' Flares
28 Clavering Rd
Bayswater WA 6053
ph: (08) 9370 3099

They don't have a web site as far as I can understand.
