EVO motor into early Starion.whats involved

almost got my JA to the rego stage..motor is average .. just curious whats involved in installed a lancer twin cam/turbo donk .. instead of the usual twin cam head conversion

is it not possible or is it time waisting to just fit the complete twin cam motor?
.. im relativly new to the starions..& turbos for that matter

Hi Ken,

One of the guys on the starion uk website fitted an evo 8 motor to his starion. It is possible but a lot of hassle. Maybe drop him a line and see how much work was involved.

i was sort of hoping a later motor would just bolt up to the starion 5 speed box

Nothing bolts up to a starion box
Powerplant: Chipped stock ECU, 2044cc, 8.5:1, head intake enlarged and polished, exhaust manifold enlarged,
Balance-shafts eliminated, Intercooled, TC06 @ 10psi, 2.5" high flow exhaust system and dump pipe.

this subject has been covered so many times before! if u search for "scorpion gearbox" u should find the thread where i explained how to mate an EVO3 motor to a 2LT GE scorpion gearbox. there is a LOT of fkn around involved. or u can make an adapter plate like barney did.
