Can I ask a silly question? Okay, when you talk offset and +10 or -10 on for instance a 10" rim. does that simply mean that the center moves inwards 10mm for +10 (10mm more dish) and the opposite for -10mm? Before working out offset where does thw center line of the 10" sit? eg is the rear mounting face of the wheel center the centerline of the 10"?

great, thanks that is clear now. If there is anyone reading this thread that has a 'big' set of rims on a widebody please post a pic and offset/rim sizes. Cheers Steve

19x8.5" fronts with a +15mm offset, running 235/35/19's.
19x10.5" rears with a -3mm offset, running 275/30/19's.

19x10.5's are +22mm's, but I used a 25mm bolt-on spacer for a final offset of -3mm.

Beautiful. Just needs more dish - I agree with that. Especially the fronts, considering the rears are 10.5" I guess the fronts are only 8.5". I would hope to get 9" under the front with a good dish. Do you think there would be fouling on the guard during full lock?

Hate to spoil the party guys but you need to remember that you need to comply with the transport dept in your state re wider rims on rear . If your car didn't come that way you stand to loose your insurance claim in the event of a prang .Remember the insurance assessor is not your friend :o Get it engineer approved if you can

I know, I know... :D

Sooner or later i'll get a set of custom offset forged rims that'll cost four times what these did.. But for now, i'm content with being one out of five SQ's with 19's in the world(at least, that i've seen pics of..)

Three in the USA, one in Japan and one more in aussie-land(you all know who)..

Sorry , I hope I did not sound too critical about your rims I love the look of your car. It is awesome. I know I want a slightly dishier look but your rears look great. It is an important part of the car so I want to make an educated choice. Thanks for posting up your car.

PS I will sit down tomorrow and detail what I have been told by QLD Transport and THE Federal DOTRS? RE rim width/track and offsets. It is a long story.

Oh, no... I didn't take offense to anything at all.. I agree with you, i'd like the lips to be about 35-40mm deeper on all four corners.. :D

Here in Aussie a set of rims in 9x18 and 10.5x18 in a 3 piece alloy wheel is approx $3000. How much did your rims cost and what sort of price for the ones you hope to buy?

I saw a very, very similar pair of rims today on a Holden station wagon (not 3 piece, nor with as much dish, but definitely nice like these)...I thought that they'd look good on a Starion...I was right :)
