JA, JB, JD

Post by bigd »

This may have been discussed previously and has little relevance but why did Mitsi leave out JC in the models for you guys in Oz?
Also dont think there was a GSR-IV in the jap range? why?

JC may seem a bit blasphemous - think about it.

For the same reason Camira model designation jumped from JB to JD

meh, commodores skip groups of letters at a time.
Powerplant: Chipped stock ECU, 2044cc, 8.5:1, head intake enlarged and polished, exhaust manifold enlarged,
Balance-shafts eliminated, Intercooled, TC06 @ 10psi, 2.5" high flow exhaust system and dump pipe.

my work mate calls it the

"compensatadore"

very funny.
My JA has perfect motor - FMIC - forgies - high flow head but...rusted front guards and keyed on every panel. Time to get serious or time to take it to the tip.

The JD intercoolers are mounted vertically like normal. Have never seen a horizontal one in a car, only in drawings in mitsubishi manuals.

My car was dead stock original and the cooler was mounted vertical.

JD also apprantly has the bigger diff and a smaller TC-05 turbo. The washer bottles in the front are also slightly different to suit the intercooler pipes.
