2 starions @ summer nat

Post by davidbek95 »

There where 2 white starions at the summer nats, one from ACT,with a SR 20 (TWIN CAM) motor in it,which he was saying that he was going to get well over 300 rwhp,on the dyno only got 260rwhp ,mean while, the other
starion from Melbourne with a 4g63 (SINGLE CAM) got the dyno rolling at a whopping 293 rwhp, good on you.It proves you can get good hp in a single cam motor, also the right person doing the work on it. :D :D

Starions at Nats

Post by dirty sanchez »

That SR20 Starion at the Nats is me. Yes I did only get 266rwhp, but there is a chance I will get in the finals tomorrow and get another run.

Unfortunately the guts popped out of my boost controller and was running only about 13 psi. Hopefully with the boost controller replaced, the figure should come up a bit.

Very good effort from the single cam 4g63, seems to be a well built car and was running 25psi+!!

I was at the nats but missed the dyno comp on sat
Saw a white Starion from Vic in Braddon and met the owner (briefly) at the roundabout. I also saw CussCuss in his bogan Soarer at the roundabout.

Green Sigma made 320rwhp to finish second in 4 cyinder turbo class.

Heres some photos from the Summernats.

We got second place in the Motorkhana and 4th in the Drivers Championship.

Have also included my last Dyno graph showing 225kw. Will hopefully have the car on the Dyno again shortly to confirm that it is now making proper power again.

yeah I love it when big power comes from SOHC, can't see why not. Chris form BTL always said it had "untapped potential" as he called it.

cheers Dave
My JA has perfect motor - FMIC - forgies - high flow head but...rusted front guards and keyed on every panel. Time to get serious or time to take it to the tip.
