As per the other thread I've good mates with 350kW Sti'ed Foresters, GT3s, M3 (& CSLs) and possibly something even more exotic who are all keen for a private track day.
Not only does it subsidise of costs, but it would be great to dice with some other fast cars.

Doesnt mout cotton have a db limit now, something like 96db and they wont let you on the skippan if you are over that? I remember boostcruising having a honda vs nissan track day and the pricing breakup was something like this. $2310 for 1/2 day track hire, 600 for insurance permit and $550 for timing facilities. They had 60 people for it and cost each person $57.60. Maybe we can have something similar like mitsubishi v nissan v honda v euros etc.

I believe it was split into something like this:
4 groups of up to 15 cars each running sessions of 5 laps at a time.
Then they had each group run 2 x 5 lap session on the Sprint Cir, 2 x 5 lap sessionon the Clubman Cir, then they finished the day with 1 x 5 lap session on the National Circuit for each group.

You're all getting a bit carried away .
QR has timed sprint days . One Wednesday and one or two Saturdays per month . That's what I do (amongst other things).
It only costs $75 to race (against the clock with other cars on the track) for a whole afternoon.
You usually get a good amount of laps and it's the BEST place to learn how to drive fast and is pretty safe.
All you need is a Helmet and long clothes. If you don't have a CAMS licence , you can buy a QR licence on the day that will last you for a year .
Ok , no excuses now.

Taken from the QR website
So unregistered cars would be in another class.Road registered cars are divided into 4, 6, and 8 cylinder categories and there are NO tyre restrictions, slicks are permitted. Either supercharged or turbocharged air induction means the vehicle will go up by one category. Race cars or unregistered cars will be divided in two categories, up to 2 L, and any vehicle with forced air induction or capacity above 2001 cc.
All the events will be run on the sprint circuit in the usual format of, one out lap, five hot laps, one in lap, with three starts. The groups will be formed by request where possible, novices with less than three rounds will always be in their own special group, and other entries will be allocated to groups according to their previous best recorded time.
