Firstly , if you are after a non Japanese Supercar , then I would have to agree that the new Corvette is Definately the best value for money and would be my choice absolutely hands down.
To answer your question though , I've known many people over the years (unfortunately not me) who've had these cars and the simple answer is The Ferraris are MUCH more user friendly BUT inconsistant in quality and are as reliable as a home made radio . While the Lambo's do have some reliability problems (as do all bloody Euro cars) , they're not near as bad as the Ferraris and the performance is the same or better .
Most Ferrari owners (like Starion owners) just see the problems as a necessary evil . However an unreliable Ferrari would be a bit more expensive than a Starion . . .
So it would be a trade off between reliability and practicality.
I'd go the Lambo .
p.s. Ferraris have a nasty habit of catching fire . . . .

Matey, you are spot on with the Corvette. I have had Vettes in my life and i can honestly say that they are a great car, provided they have been converted correctly.
I do love the Lambo a little more than the Ferrari...but i need to feel the buzz of it before i can make any decision.
God help me though, today i was 1 second from getting a 930 Turbo. Im home now and i realise that Porsche is just not up to the other 2 Marques.

Flav, you need the latest episodes of Top Gear!
They have been doing a heap of supercar testing recently, including the Zonda!! :o
Do you want us to send you a copy?
Also I had to laugh at the pics of the cars, a Jensen Interceptor for christ's sake. If ever there was a car that was a bucket of poop it was The Interceptor.
Love the shape of the Esprit but again shocking engines that were always breaking down.
Ever considered a Maserati??

It's a tough decision, I've loved both cars forever!
The Ferrari is definately the more sane (or less insane) choice.
Either will make you love and hate them, make you laugh and cry, draw you in, make you totally intoxicated with them..............then rip your heart out.
But what a ride. :)
Phil
Actually don't listen to anything I say, I've spent six figures on Starions and nuked a six month old BMW with N2O. :)
