keys to code

Post by androoz »

does anyone know any locksmiths that can cut keys (in melbourne) with the relevant codes say if someone lost thier starion keys and has no spares?

also where can we find the relevant code that the locksmith will need to cut the key? do we have to take the ignition key out or is there an easier one to take out and find the code?

I think your orginal keys will have a set of numbers that the locksmith uses to cut the key.

Do you have the original handbook? (probably not likely). If you do, it should be written in the front. I'm not sure if the number is on the barrel of the lock, but it may be worth a look if nothing else works.

Never had that problem...The locksmiths up here only worry about it with new model cars. I only had to take my key to him, and he cut it for me no worries. Depends on the lockie I guess

i think androoz is talking about having no key to get a copy of.

hence needing to know how to get one cut with the code?

I was behind you around 3 weeks ago near fitzroy, i was in a white scorpion.

With keys getting cut any lock smith can make keys to your ignition barrel. When i picked up my JDM scorpion it came with no keys. Brought the ignition barrel to a lock smith, cost me 20 bucks with 2 keys.
