Bulb sizes

Post by fr335tyl3r »

Hey guys,

Im in need of new parkers for the JB (it has a JA front bar for some reason) and im going to replace them with ultra bright white ones. While im at it i might as well replace the headlight globes too cause they are a bit sad at the moment.

Does anyone know what the 2 respective globe sizes for the parkers and headlights are?

Edit :- avatar's changed.
have a look at my avatar. that has the ULTRA Blue H4's inside. for the parkers i just fitted covers over the globes, though now you can get L.E.D replacement globes. These are alot brighter than the factory.

the "normal" power rating for park lights is 21 watts (in Oz).
the LED versions would probably be different power rating.
let us know when you find them.

ps. are the plod dept still going ape over blue tinted globes, despite several manufactures cars sold std in Oz with blue spectrum lamps HID types) or blue lenses (Subie 4wd I think)

mmm ok ill let u kno.

as for the blitz....they have calmed down a little, but u still have to be careful...like obviously a totally blue headlight from a front on appearence regardless of what it looks like from driver P.o.v is going ot be defectable due to police concerns...but most of hte "blue" ones out at the moment just look VERY bright white...not so many that look blue anymore.

mr fre3styl3r, go and check out Auto barn, or Super Cheap Auto. I was there on the weekend with my sis, getting some lighting for her lancer.
They both stocked heaps of different replacement globes.

They are replacements for what's already there.

They should just fit in to the same place as the originals.
