Not cheap. The design was given to Malzard Brothers and they fabricated it. It's all stainless steel.fr335tyl3r wrote:Wow that is a nice airbox cooks. How much did it cost you to get it fabbed up? Was it from the place at seven hills? Ide like something similar to that setup although i might go for the VN setup cause of the initial outlay cost.
And Wantsom did the inital design for the airbox. :)Wantsom wrote:nice air box.

They didn't have any in the yard last Saturday either (only the bottom part of one).WANTSOM wrote:nice air box.
Pick n Payless didnt have any Sonata manifolds 2 weeks ago. Might be worth a call to see if they have fresh stocks.

Will someone in Sydney go out this week and cannonball into a couple of Sonatas. There is a queue of Starion owners waiting at PnP Blacktown for the inlet manifolds. :D
Come on guys and girls, help your fellow Starion owners out and do the right thing.
**** pictures a Starion owner driving past a auto accident involving a Sonata, he stops, asks how bad it is and while the involved drivers are discussing blame, casually walks over to the Sonata, lifts the bonnet and proceeds to remove the inlet manifold and checks for an optical dizzie while he's at it... casually returns to Starion, inlet manifolds under his shirt and drives inconspicuously off, smiling like he just one the trifecta.
:P

Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.

Anyone after a sonata style manifold (identical, but from an NZ New galant), already 'cut and shut' with an adaptor plate for a falcon throttlebody, PM me and ill hook you up. Im not to sure on price, but its pretty cheap, around the $200 mark. You'll have to pay for shipping ofcourse.
Comes with a modified thermostat top half to point the hose in the right direction :)

There is the bottom half of a Sonata manifold at PnP if someone wants to make up a custom plenum.
