noticing a funny trend, how many of us work with computers? IT/design, etc.. you know what i mean..:D :D

have been, out of it for now, I do a bit of work on the side tho'. there were a lot of wankers coming into the industry mid 90's, what with all the add campaigns drawing people in, so. very few true hackers remain.. :(

Was doing computer science at uni (i hate java) now just started a diploma in network engineering at tafe which i like alot more than uni so far (more specific and hands on).
I use the computers at work to print tickets and do stocktake, does that count? :D

i wouldn't be too suprised at this trend as it's more likely for people from our background to frequent forums etc more often.
that said i spend some of my working day browsing ove the site hehehehe
good thing about forums is you can get away with saying your researching developer forums ;)

I was a partner in a specialised software development company 4 years ago as the sales/marketing/development/crash test dummy part.
Got out when one of the other directors decided to screw me over by demanding I learn to write code. So I gave them code for "go fuck yourselves" .
They bought me out for $50K and sold the business 18 months later for $2.3M on the same product platform and customer base as what I built for them. Now there's a new definition for "bastards".
Still friends with one of them, not the other because he said it 'wasnt personal, it was business. " At $2.3M I took it personally.
So thats my computer experience.
