G'day GormzZ

They look alright eh. :)
Made me think that I will have to look at them one day and then I will give it a go to build some out of steel maybe.

would be a hell lot of a easier job to just fibreglass a set up man. once i've fixed/painted these fibreglass ones up.. i'm thinking of duplicating them and giving the fibreglass trade a go! might even modify it slightly to my liking.. but so keen to get into some fibreglassing and get the knack of it!

Alright i've re read through this thread and how most of it is mostly just collecting parts. I'm sorry for the delay on this.. I've literally painted the last items on the cressida the weekend which has gone past... So this week will be to reassemble the front end, a slight buff up and shes outside well and proper.

Going to be buying a few seals, bearings and such to give the lsd a semi rebuild while i've got it out of the car. Also the d2 coilovers should be arriving any week now before christmas. So keen to paint up the new wing and skirts, fit the new lsd/torque tube/axle combo and start putting together the mpfi finally.

Time for the staz to meet its maker.

Coilovers still haven't arrived yet. Kind've annoyed about it, but i guess good things come to people who wait! 2014 is the year of the starion.

ok latest news!! my d2 coilovers arrived last week or so when neil's arrived.. stoked with the quality of them!

now.. also i've just bought another white ja starion from toowoomba recently to reshell mine as i was having a little bit of drifting/rally fun on the dirt on a mates property and kind've nudged the front end on my red girl.. luckily motor is all fine from what i can see but the body has seen better days.. for the meantime i'm just reshelling hence the purchase of this white ja.. so this thread will shortly be getting updated alot regularly now its a proper project and not registered. will get some photos tomorrow if i can.. so stoked with todays effort's i'm finally getting somewhere with my projects.

yeah i've definitely got the starion bug now..

Purchased a japan import gsrIII (jb) starion which requires a fair bit of rust work but has a sweet interior, lsd and apparently the engine has a few goodies inside (yet to confirm though). Also got a free ja shell which i'll use to fix the import and my maroon one. Damn four starions is crazy lol.

So latest progress on the old girls is basically removed the drivers door of the white ja track car and have started to repair the rust at the bottom of the door where someone has just bogged the holes up.. Will need new plating up there and then i can do the other door and roof and then its onto the engine bay to prep and paint. Then after that drop in a sohc engine and gearbox and get it moving again. But mind you most of this progress on the white ja will be here and there while i go hard out on rust repairs and completing the gsr import so i can get it on the road and driven again as my daily.

Few shots of the rust on the drivers door.. Have literally cut the whole bottom section of now and replacing it with 2mm thick plate and so forth. Going to try as many starion parts as i can for the sake of experience, being cheap and hopefully one day keeping these parts floating about.
