So about 8 months ago one of my rear calipers siezed.

I took the car to a mates workshop to have them rebuilt. 6 months later it was still there (never say no rush lol)

While it was off the road, My front spoiler has been plastic welded and put in primer ready for painting (Thanks Brett and John.)

I got my car back, then went on a trip to Europe so it sat and did nothing for a bit longer.

Today i pulled my finger out and removed of 8 months of dirt, dust and actually fitted my qfm pads and slotted rotors so i can drive the thing again....

It was really nice to just cruise around with the windows down and some good tunes.

I missed the old girl :D

I have a heap of pics of it when i fitted the radiator, wheels and coilovers. I
never bothered updating the thread as i figured Ryan would anyway.

Bit of an update for the non facebook users.

Front bar is still not on the car, but it is in primer as is the bonnet now.
Paint has been matched, and mixed ready to spray soon.
Intercooler has been removed for replacement with my evo 6.5 unit.

Today i decided to get to the bottom of my on going exhaust leak.

This is what i found :(

The turbo also had a significant amount of play, so i'm biting the bullet and fitting my gt3076r with my sigma turbo setup.

Guess sometimes it pays to be a hoarder of parts

I shall take pics during the process.

What happened to the fg turbo?

Also, may I ask that people not rely on facebook.. the forum is always easier to find information on, and the forum doesn't belong to a media mogul

I've still got the fg turbo I decided to just use my 3076 instead as its a smaller sized rear housing.

As for FB, I don't often have time to actually upload images on a hosting site. I've been a member on here for 10 years, I'm not going anywhere :p

So I've been working on the car after work, but with no power i can only do so much.

I had the rocker cover, exhaust manifold and dump pipe coated (Thanks to Kyle @ HI Octane Racing) and started mocking it up to work out lines, pipes and ect.

Image

Next was the oil and water lines to the turbo.
VPW and of course Aaron :P Have sorted me out. They also supplied my ARP head studs.
Thanks again Azz for your help, Coffee and a lend of some tools!

Charlie sold me his Magna head and mpi manifold.
So fitting the head will be next weeks project.

This is how it sits now. Interesting that the head was cast with a T like the 63's and the pistons are stamped 54t.

Image

I ordered a new water pump and radiator hoses from the states, so i can't do to much until they arrive.

I did however polish my radiator again as it had seen better days due to a dodgy radiator cap.

Image

Next up will be a visit to Johns to sort this spacer for the turbo and to mod my intercooler pipes (Did i mention his coffee too  )

I'm doing my best to get back on the road asap as i want to make the next cruise and possibly Hanging Rock now it has been postponed.
