now i've been thinking of that idea for ages now.. saves me having to try find a widebody for cheap when you can simply just bolt on fibreglass replica front widebody guards and then pop rivet or bolt on the rear fibreglass quarters.. would be willing to pay money if that could be done.. you know you want to dave, use that widebody of yours before you sell it ;)

Hey Dave, what's happening with this? Have the moulds been produced?

Will the bottom guards be available for around the $60each mark?

Finally got in touch with him, the drivers side mold is done, he has had dramas with the left hand one & is making a new one rather than try & repair the original one.

If we make guard bottoms they will definitely be a lot more than $60, he reckons it's not that much less work to make a guard bottom than a full guard...

That could be good Dave...so what sort of cost & what amount of weight saving?
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

That's a bit disappointing considering that there's only around a square ft of material. :(
How much do you think they'll end up costing?

I have no idea, but he did say I should have some parts in 3 weeks so I can ask him then once he has used the molds.

STILL waiting on the fibreglasser to get the molds done. Contacted him a couple of weeks ago to find out wtf was going on. He promised they'd be done soon..
