Anyone know what the low level coolant light is doing intermitantly flashing on while accelerating? Ive looked in the coolamt overflow bottle and there.is no low level warning sensor, and.the.cooling system is full....

Its for your washer bottles, one of them will be low. Mine is permanently on as my headlight washer bottle it missing the filler, so is a tad tricky to put water in ;)

ahhh ok, the light flashes on so quickly i assumed it was a low coolant warning light

Well saying the car has come a long way is an understatement! Currently the car is running, engine bay back together and painted. Ended up splicing a half cut onto my car. The car was cut just infront of the lh strut tower, through the chassis rail, and through the far rh side of radiator opening. Ive painted the front filler panel and headlight covers today also.

Next is to paint inner guard blacking, paint bonnet and lh,guard, mount bonnet prop and reassrmble.

But biggest thing atm is tyring to source a lh castor bar mount... Can anyone help???????????,,

Well since the car has been repaired I drove it for several months before it ended up on a tow truck.

The stock injection setup was flooding itself occasionly and the engine dropped compression on cylinder 2.
I stripped the engine down and found the cylinder head was fine, valves all sealing with petrol in the combustion chambers, head gasket still like new (was only replaced 2 years ago). So I took off the sump and popped out number 2 piston, ring lands were fine and rings were still like new! note before strip down the valve clearances were checked twice and all ok.

upon dis assembling the rest of the engine I found number 3 and 4 big end bearings were about to spin, so the decision was made to rebuild the engine, stay sohc and go multipoint with a sonata manifold.

it probably washed the bore

Went to get the crank machined, but ran into a snag. I want to run acl race series bearings but the crank is already too far under size and they couldnt get the big ends in anything smaller than .50.

Luckely Avandull had a stock crank for me that was completley STD and after.running the micrometer over it its in really great shape. Now just waiting for the bearings to arrive so i can dummy assemble the bottom end and see if i have enough room to deck.the block
