Cheers mate. 2L is a 4G52, and ideally I'd like to find an aftermarket centre for the EX Lancer diff so I don't have to do a conversion, but if I can't find one I'll probably use an R31 Borg-Warner, or an MX63 Cressida F-series.
MPI 4G63 is probably second last, after wheels, decent brakes and suspension but before the diff swap. I was considering putting the Aus head back on the 4G52 and running a stock Sigma Turbo setup, but the '63 will be better in the long run.

ohh righteo cool. was going to say is the r31 borg warner easy to obtain and setup? personally myself looking into differentials and seeing what people use on their old rwd mitsu's. yeah i'm keeping my 63 sohc for meantime until i can offload it and possibly buy a dohc 4g63 when i eventually want more power and have the coin.

R31 Borgies are very easy to get, there's been at least 10 R31's in the local wreckers every time I've been there lol
As for setup, it's a bit wider than the Scorp diff, not sure on the exact lengths but hopefully it's not much. The rear specs on the Sakura copies I want are 15x9 -10, I'm pretty confident I can fit them under the rear with a roll of the guards and 205/50's, if the R31 diff is much wider I'll have to cut into the guards to run bolt-on flares lol :P
As for mounting it, I'll need to get the mounts changed over on the diffs and maybe a custom tailshaft.

I was supposed to be getting a few things done on this this week, but between my girlfriend leaving me out of the blue, the resulting resurgence of my depression and a trip down to Wollongong to stay with my sister and clear my head, that hasn't happened.

I broke up with a couple of girls when I was younger. Took it pretty hard at the time. Then I bought a motorbike, exercised, got fit and made the most of it. Now married (to a much nicer girl :D ) and thinking back I don't know why I made a big deal of it. Just something we all go through.

It's not my first rodeo, but this is the first time a breakup's affected my depression in a significant way. I've been swinging like a yo-yo for a week, lol
Oh well. They do say that time heals all wounds, no matter how deep.
Anyway. Back on topic, I need to do tie rods/idler arm etc, as I didn't do them when I did the bushes. I need to get around to pulling some rear spring rubbers out of the parts car while I'm at it, the ones currently in the car are, well, not in the car.
I'll also need to shorten the bump stops and buy shorter shocks for the rear, it has 30mm lowered Lovells springs for GE-GH in it at the moment, which has dropped the car a good 60mm from stock height due to the spring being located on the diff, instead of on the arm like the earlier cars. Add to that the lack of spring rubbers (another 20-25mm) and it's pretty close to bottoming out.
Still need to do something about the front. I'll probably just end up buying a pair of 30mm Pedders springs and shorten the struts 40-odd mm to run an R31 insert.[/i]

Anyway. The tie rod ends I replaced not long ago fucked out on me, was going over the front end to make sure everything was tight and the taper bit fell out of the rod ends
So I need to do those again, thanks to dodgy eBay shit. Other than that, it's nearly ready to go for the blueslip. Just need to tidy it up a bit, it's pretty filthy from sitting for the last 12 months :P

Meh, it doesn't bother me anymore. She's made her bed, she can go lie in it.
Counting down alright, it's been over a year since this thing has been on the road. I miss driving it, it's not that quick but it handles well enough to make it a good bit of fun in the corners :)
Only downside is the cops out here seem to think that it's worth pulling over every time they see it, same with the couple of other modded older Jap cars around town. There's a running competition going between me and this guy with a 70's Gemini coupe to see who gets pulled over the most, lol
