Turbo Oil Feed on 2.0

Post by DJpowerHaus »

I'm looking to replace the factory hardline from the oil filter housing to the top of the turbo with an braided line and -AN fittings. Does anyone know the adapter fittings that would be needed on both ends?

The inverted flare fitting on the oil filter housing seems to have a tapered pipe thread, but I'm unsure of the size. What kind of thread is this so I can find an adapter fitting.

I'd rather get an adapter fitting. I already have the line made from my previous setup.

Perhaps its 3/8 NPT? Looks tapered. Seems smaller than 1/2.. bigger than 1/8. Might be metric though?

Any well equipped hydraulic hose workshop should be able to supply the fittings needed.

On my spare-motor (in the "workshop") I measured the thread to sligtley over ½", so my money is on a tapered ½".
It's stuck like hell and couldn't get it off... will try later again!
