i know they're all chemically polycarbonates, but here in aus, some are street legal and some arent :)

Minor update today, didnt have too long to work on it.

Got the seat rail sitchuation sorted out. So now the seat is mounted, have a comfortable driving position. And I can workout position for the crotch strap etc.

Modded the std staz drivers seat rail to suit.

Required lots of cutting and grinding.

But it still has adjusters, so if someone taller or shorter cons me into letting them have a steer, can fit.

I purposely removed the adjusters in mine; if I lose my mind and let someone else drive it, they'll have to be the same size as me or they can make do with sitting in the passenger seat. Can you tell I don't like sharing? rofl

BTW, keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Normally I dont even let my missus drive my daily's.

But I think it is only fair to let people who have helped me out building the car, have a steer, even if its only at powercruise etc.

Just got to get the glass to my mum, should be in the next few weeks.

No updates atm.

Had too many race meetings to officiate at and been working alot of saturdays lately.

But hopefully will be picking up the gearbox in the next week or so. Then the fun begins.

As for the lexan stuff. My mums work are in the middle of moving to bigger premises, so she asked me to hold off on sending them up, so they dont get lost/broken.

Minor update.

Pickup the gearbox on sunday. Thanks ryan and shannon.

So now we have the mighty Mopar A904 Torqueflite sitting in the garage. The box has allready been rebuilt, manualised and made reverse pattern. Pics to come. Now I need some Mopar/Hemi badges for the car...............

Tossing up as to which shifter i'm going to run.

Yes.

Reason #1:

Consistentcy. In dyo racing consistentcy is king & the auto suits that.

Reason #2:

The auto won't strike the tyres as hard as a manual off the line. So less stress on the driveline and with small tyres alot safer.

Reason #3:

If I went manual it would be a minimum 5k layout. Custom gearsets arnt cheap. Neither is q liberty/gforce/jericho box. Plus, as per the rule book, I would require either an sfi spec titanium bellhousing or a custom made 6mm steel one.

hey mate got a left field one for ya:

Hurst pro matic 2;

got it on a manual c4 and its nice, easy ratchet, no extra lever to dick around with, slap it down twice for manual like yours, click back through as needed and just lift the shifter up when you're in N and slide forward to R and PARK.
I was lucky and fluked the adjustment first time but the install was piss easy.

Mates with B&Ms complain about the extra lever most of them have to cancel the ratchet so it becomes a 2 handed job where the Hurst is always 1 when going back to neutral.

Race prepped block, Clevite bearings, ARP fixings, Hypertectic pistons, nitrided rods, knife edged crank, Gilmer drive, chrome moly rings, Yella Terra stage 3 heads, manly valves, Comp cams 294* solid roller, YT roller rockers, Funnelweb manifold, 2 inch spacer, Proform 830cfm carb, K&N 10" stack, ICE ignition. - 0437900210

and who made your stally?
