If it is like the injection in the US you should have a green injector (secondary) and black (primary). It is a staged setup. The primary injector fires all the time, under load/boost the secondary injector will kick in. Primary will be around 650cc/min and secondary at 950cc/min.

I think you are likely to need 2 x 650CC as per the JD which were grey - you can get them new in that size from the US as I did :)
1985 JB - owned from new.

Type A injection runs simultaneous 800 - 850cc injectors (there abouts), not sure if Type B ran equal sized primary and secondary injectors but I would expect the volume to be about the same. 650cc sounds a bit lean.

Lower shores performance

I had the grey ones flow tested and as per previous posts they flowed at 650 and the black tops were 800-850

Cheers :)

The manual I have refers to intercooled models having type c, WTF?
Never heard it mentioned before.

ok so i threw a multi meter on my injectors at idle , both had the same voltage at idle and at 3000 rpm so its fair to say the uk spec fires simultaneously yes?
i have a spare throtle body that i got with my car that has 2 black injectors in it? im un sure what throtle body came with my car cause i think i may hoave swaped them round a few times tryin to fix what i thought may have been leaky injectors.

any one know what the size the black injectors are?

Apparently the intercooled models had a different computers again, perhaps they changed the injector sizes to help compensate for the denser air as well?

Not sure what to make of your multi meter reading kush, goes against the current notion of Type B injection being staged. 650cc according to mainstream.. wonder if mitsubishi could validate that?

just seen that wiki edited their starion page 4 days ago

maybe the late model nz models are different

"Horsepower varied between 150–197 hp (112–147 kW; 152–200 PS) depending mostly upon the turbocharger that was fitted, the presence of an intercooler, and whether the 8-valve or 12-valve head was used.

The last of the leaded petrol Starion EX's sold in New Zealand had 8 Valves, an Intercooler and 225 Hp (168 kW.)"

thats a big diff in power ,197hp vs 225 in nz ?
makes me wonder , there seems to be no phsicall differnce engine wise, same turbo and intercooler differnt ecu or injectors maybe?
i dont belive our petrol is that good to produce 28 extra hp!
nor did we get a nz new dash?

again, can you provide documentation that backs up this 225hp claim? Wiki is an online encyclopaedia which anyone can edit, whether it be true or false information.
