Yeah there is around a 10mm gap between the runner and compresser cover. But I will be heat wrapping the manifold. Or if I can find someone in Christchurch that does HPC I may look into that. Not really sure what's better tho.

10 points fugazi!! Ive had a Greddy EGT gauage for ages so figured now would be a good time to fit the sender to the manifold.

Id like close to 400hp at the wheels. But still have the standard cams so Im thinking I might end up with around the 380 mark. Thats on a hub dyno.

Just a quick update.

Image

Image

Modified the factory heat shield. Painted and heat wrapped the manifold.

Ive got the turbo and everything bolted up now and will get pics up soon.

It drives soooo much better. :D
Its booked in for a dyno tune on the 28th of Feb, so will be interesting to see the difference :D
Might see if I can find some good injectors for it before then as Ive still got the EVO 6 560cc ones.

Good job as always. BTW your car's engine bay is the background picture on the Hungarian Starionclub site :)

The site is WIP at the moment and as much as I like your car's engine bay it's not the best as a background picture, but hey :). http://starionfanklub.gportal.hu

yeah that boost build up curve is not the best.. it almost looks like it's building up and as soon as it builds decent boost the wastegate keeps it steady at 21psi, I would try raising that up to 25psi and see how much power you get - my thoughts are that the turbo is perhaps a bit too big for your relatively low boost and mid-range power orientated application.

Other things I would be looking at is perhaps ignition timing, camshaft timing and that the camshaft duration is ideal for your application. Out of curiousity, have you done a compression test on the engine recently? if so what are the numbers?
