I would say the big diff from a JD or widebody would be more sought after and attract the price you are after. I paid NZ$550 (AU$450ish) for my 'small' 3.909 Starion diff, and if anything they are harder to find here in NZ!Vulpes wrote:Standard JB LSD diff so whatever that is. I thought these things were sought after ? nobody wants it ?

Hey Mal, no i already asked him, he is not even slightly interested in modifying it which I respect as it is in amazing mint condition. Dirtygalant prices for starions parts seem to be different here then there. I paid $900 for the one in my JA and that is seems to be the going price for an LSD here regardless of size.

I wouldn't particularly call it a modification as LSD units were standard just about everywhere else except Australia....Vulpes wrote:Hey Mal, no i already asked him, he is not even slightly interested in modifying it which I respect as it is in amazing mint condition.
I think it was done this way to keep costs down on the original price and a shortage of the small LSD's at the start of manufacture.
If I were him, I would just replace the LSD centre with the current/original diff in car. Still original.
To a Starion owner, I reckon this would be high on the list of importance

Absolutely - I think an LSD was one of my first modifications.
