yeah I was thinking of askin them if they can do it in an 8inch wide wheel for the front..
I don't want 16x7.5s. I like dish and a bit of width, so i'm looking for 16x9s for the back :) 16x8s are readily available from that JDM Yard place (check the ebay link i posted), and also from otomoto.
And +30 offset means less "true" dish ;)

Thrash see link above regarding the miro wheels (and my previous links of actual wheels in these sizes on actual cars, not stock promo photos), 16x7.5 +30 wheels only have half an inch less dish than the 16x9 +15 despite being an inch and a half narrower. As is common with these cheaper one piece wheels the difference in offset is usually machined from the hub mating surface hence the strange differences in wheel weights between sizes.
Check the otomoto site for the rb range of wheels, very often smaller wheel sizes are heavier than larger wheels because of extra weight hiding behind the hub mating surface due to offset difference.
Also see the hub bore on those miro's are 57.1, when a starion hub bore is 67.1

The hub bore is the diameter of the hole in the middle of the stud pattern, that lets the wheel fit over the axle caps/hub.

I think these wheels come from a german manufacturer, so maybe they're designed specifically for bmw enthusiasts or something (as per link they do fit other cars like vw's, scion's and mx5's).
My Rota RB-R's came with a 73mm hub bore, and I plan to make up some hubcentric rings (aluminium annodized black) to suit the starion and these wheels once I get access to my father's new lathe. I notice ALOT of people ignore the need for hubcentric rings (which fill the gap between wheel hub bore and the car's hub) but their purposes are:
a - concentrically locate the wheel on the hub for balance purposes.
b - support a good portion of the cars weight through to the wheels, rather than just relying on the studs.
c - help transfer heat from the brakes/hub through to the wheel which is a significant source of cooling.
As I discovered when researching some new wheels, the Starion (narrow body in particular) is very difficult to find wheels off the rack for. Getting 16" wheels for the Starion in wide, staggered sizes, without going to a true 3 piece wheel will be very difficult.
Heres a couple of true 3 piece wheel manufacturers that aren't simmons that do retro designs:

Both being overseas the prices will definately blow out, I did get a quote from arrow for some wheels, wish I still had the email, but I don't remember much change from a grand PER wheel !

the rear wheels on at least 2 of my starions do not have hubs. The entire weight is on the wheel studs. Can't remember about the fronts though..

Back on topic...wouldn't it be a good idea to go to a good machine shop and get the hub bores taken out to suit (on wheels where it's too small to fit)?
