Mrbishi's old JB is an example of 8 wide at the front and 9 wide at the back looking good without it be slammed.

I'm not going to argue something that is totally subjective, but this is one of the cars I think is an example of being too high in the rear for such big boots. I would rock those wheels, they look great, but ideally this would look much better at least half an inch lower, at least in the rear. To each his own.

Like the look of the RB-Rs, they've got that old school mini-lite look about them.
I reckon an inch bigger on the rear is cool for looks, but from the perspective of being practical, having all the same size wheels means you can rotate your tyre wear to get better use out of them.
Does anybody do that these days?

225 on a 8" rim looks good. eg MrBender's fronts.
but to me his rears a a touch of a ballooning in the rears due to the same width rim but a 245/50/16 tyre still on a 8" rim. And due keeping the 50 prifile the rear tyre is 20mm taller than the front in overall diameter.
Got to go the staggered look!

best bet is to get a 2nd set of rims or just you your old rims for the track.
I have a set of 17x7 rims for the track and have Kumho V700 225/45/17 tyres on them... and like enthuzed said. when they are all the same size you can get the more out of them when you chewing throught them.
But for a weekend streeter and cruise car can't beat the staggered look.

The rotas did come with centre caps but one or two were broken in shipment. To be honest, they look like cheap black and chrome plastic, so I never would have used them anyway. I'll go without caps and I've got some black anodized aluminium nuts for initial D effect.

I wish I could tell you but I just picked them up cheap, 2nd hand. Enough for 1 or 2 days at the track maybe a dozen laps? maybe more? Fair enough, I was told they heat up quickly so are good for short sprints of 2 laps like we do at iwmac, but for longer sprints at qr which is 5 laps, they tend to overheat. This was in a evo 9 though which has more weight than the starion. Let me know how you go with them as Im looking for a tyre that can do both reasonably well.

Those ones are 15x8 with zero offset, so I think they would look pretty decent. I believe you can also get them in 16 inch sizes

Thrash, I don't think 16x9 +15 will go on the front of a narrow body though rear should be fine.
I looked around and these come in 16x7.5 +30 if you are prepared to run some spacers for the front.
