this would be for the same reason the speedo reads higher than actual speed.. to stroke your ego and make you feel like you're leaving others behind :P
We sent our WRX back to Subaru Australia twice to have the speedo recalibrated. It was originally 18% over, now it's only 9% over. They said there's nothing more they can do as it is done like that from the factory to help alleviate idiots doing stupidhigh speeds in them.

We had to have our lawyer write them an angry letter about the odometer ticking over too fast, devaluation, etc etc and threatening to take them to court before they'd even look at it in the first place. Was a fucking nightmare.

Don't get me wrong, it's an EPIC daily driver but holy shit.

i hate them.. absolutly can't stand them :S

the B-pillar blind spot doesn't actually bother me as much when driving. i still have a sense of what's around me. Every time I drive a car with bendy mirrors, i lose that sense because they're not giving me accurate information lol

The only time the b-pillars are an annoyance is when backing out of a parking space.. at which time the mirror doesn't really help anyway, convex or otherwise.

That's a SWEET intake.

As far as mirrors, those are fully electric and were convex on the right side of the car, left side is pure flat. If you do not like the convex, you can easily take out the glass and cut a new mirror yourself, they are simply glued on.

Also, the right mirror glass is etched with "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear"

It's a HYPERTUNE inlet & tb
Looks like Thrash and Wantsom have gone in for the killer inlet manifold and I can't help being a little envious
