G'day guys,
first off don't worry it's not a starion. I now have a '92 hilux ute. 4x4. Anyways I am replacing the front rad support panel as the current one is smashed in.
While drilling out the tack welds on the panel i noticed a small ding in one of the chassis rail. They are an enclosed box unit and the rail is straight except for this little bing about 5mm deep running the height of the rail.
Is this a bad thing? Are they expensive to get fixed?
Cheers Dave

My JA has perfect motor - FMIC - forgies - high flow head but...rusted front guards and keyed on every panel. Time to get serious or time to take it to the tip.

take a cross measurement from 2 indentical points on the rails having two back points up under the floor where the rail finishes and the front ones at the front of the rails , use holes and bolt heads as points . measure the length of the rail first then the squareness . if theres a kink in the rail then its more then likely the front is out of square , this will have to be corrected first before installing the top support panel as u will have fittment problems .
