hi

ive pulled my car apart twice now and i still have water in the sump soon after filling the radiator..

ive double checked and made sure all water lines are where they are meant to be going, replaced the inlet gasket manifold twice and im now out of ideas..

the head was fine and no cracks visible before bolting to the block..

is this common..?

For a blown motor... yes..

Cracked or corroded head (get it properly pressure tested don't just eye-ball it!)

Or a crack in the block???

have discovered a small leak from the back of the water pump that drips down the block, onto the lip of the sump. maybe the gasket is old and is letting water in...

see how i go
