Its not in black 'n white, but it is a list.
Ok now the Starion is going, I can start allocating funds to building a pile of goodies. Once the pile is big enough, Ill fit it all at once (well exception of race cams, as that would be daft while running in the rebuilt bottom end).
So here is a list of things I want to buy, please add anything you think would be of advantage, then Ill make my personal list, save it, and as money comes in start ticking items off.
JE Forged Pistons 8.0:1 20thou oversize
VR4 Conrods (cheaper, and just as strong as JE) shot-peened
Crankshaft balanced <-- need advice, aftermaket forged or Mitsi balanced.
Performance Bearings, Ill find some goodones
Coilpacks
DOHC head (port/polish/colour)
ARP bolts
Dual Titanium spring sets
Optical Dizzy
Aftermarket ECU - probably Link or Wolf as its cheaper
HKS 272 inlet, 272 outlet cams
HKS adjustable cam gears
720cc injectors
Custom plenum and intake
FM Intercooler
Simota air filter
VR4 Cambelt
120A Alternator (its handy, Staz 65A is crap)
MSD Coil/High Spark Ignition set
TD05/06 20G hybrid
Apexi AVC-R
Second Starion block, blueprinted
Ligthend flywheel
HD race clutch (hardest I can get, without being a full button clutch)
+ Starion handling such as brakes, suspension, tyres, which I'll do while car is moving and 4WD Conversion, which I may end up paying some one to do.
Its kind of common on EVOs, but Staz is the same weight, and even after the 4WD and DOHC conversion, the price will be the same and Ill have something unique.
I expect this to take me 1,2 or 3 years to complete. I need to start compiling pieces NOW to keep me excited before I give up and cry.
Anything else I should add, please let me know your ideas!! I would like the engine to be running much higher rpm than 6000.
(and yeah I know there are hundreds of hidden costs, which is why I want everything done at once, otherwise its $400 per certification)

I'm not bagging anyone....
My point was, if you do it yourself then you know how to repair something if it does eventually fall apart, where as if someone else did it for you, then you would have to take it back to the same person for repairs.
Also If he does eventually take it to someone to get a quote to install it the person would look at it and make an unreasonable offer as he most probably cant be f#$ked.
Well thats how it is here in adelaide...
Well if you do go ahead with it then good luck and have fun!

toysrus - yeah I 50/50 agree. Ill do a lot myself, but lack of a hoist or metal fabrication means most of the 4WD will be done at a Transmission place, whats better is around the corner there is one that accepts both cash and bartercard - yey :D
tmz_99 - whats the difference between JE and HKS internals?
