WANTED! MAP/Boost Sensor

Post by Station »

Urgently needed for my 87 Starion, with an 88 - 90 engine (not sure what car it was from). It's the only thing stopping it from going on the road!

It's definately a 2.0 (as in my signature!)

I had a replacement in it, done last year (prior to my ownership), but have no idea what reg it came from! My car was originally 1987 (obviously), but the new engine had the map sensor un mounted on the body.

Hope these help!

That's a boost overpressure valve, all the top european race cars use them.

Yeah, was in there when I bought it. It's actually the top of a broom handle cut off and then bunged in there! I wonder why it's like that?
I took it down the road and the boost popped it out with a satisfying HISSSSSSSSSSS. I had to run up the road and retrieve it because that's a big air-leak! I have since popped a dump valve in there!

One of the previous owners though it would be wise to just twist connect wires together and leave it at that. The injectors were connected this way. I have since bought new connectors and soldered them together. 5 minutes job!
