Advice Needed

Post by Dr-X »

I need advice on whether you all think this is a good buy. I personally dont think it's worth that much, but the seller wont budge. I'm sorta kinda considering offering him what he wants, but I'm unsure at this stage. Is there anything special about this particular model that should sway my vote? I'm a newbie to Starions and am still learning the difference between all the models and options.

The minor panel damage doesn't bother me, I can fix that. I can also perform a manual conversion - are there any complications to this conversion with this model? Thanks.

Hey man
Car looks ok but the panel damage looks a little more than minor.
Unless you have good panelbeating skills thats gonna take a few $$$ to fix.
Always good to get an intercooled model, but as far as im aware the GSRX never came out intercooled so that may have been fitted later.
Otherwise looks ok but think 2k is a little bit high, prob more round 1500 would be better figure.
My 2c worth anyway.
On the flipside would be gd to see some more Starions in the north island :)

That panel damage is serious. Walk away from it, better ones will come up. Unless he takes $1200 for it.

On the other hand...it's a registered starion. Easily worth $1000 on top alone in Oz.

It does have velnas and cruise control, which is very rare... intercooled engine and factory I/C set up and upgraded
15in rims. Also, seats and interior look great. Most seats look like there on the way out for this vintage.

If the quater panel for you is an easy fix, then this is a steal! Around $2K is not a lot of money for what this car has to offer.

It's disappointing to see values for starions drop so far......

:( I'm not laughing...I've got a clutch fan on my widebody!

I gotta say, I definately don't have any cooling problems at the expense of a little power ( loss)! :(
