Surge Tank Setup Including Hoses/Fittings $300

Post by CussCuss »

Bosch 910 pump + lifter + surge tank, should supply well enough for 400hp
Tank/pumps cost $450 new, with hoses and fittings your looking at ~$600
$300 takes it

sorry cusscuss sorry to hear about your self inflicted loss
My JA has perfect motor - FMIC - forgies - high flow head but...rusted front guards and keyed on every panel. Time to get serious or time to take it to the tip.

Does it come with instructions on how to connect up all the hoses? I'd be lost with all those hoses and fittings everywhere...

If its cleaned out and fuel free it can be shipped. Box it up first and take it to Aust. post to send.

Just drain it all then plug the inlet and outlet of the pump. Then put in a plastic bag. As long as you can't smell anything and nothing is dripping then post won't worry about it.

put end caps on the pump and maybe get some blanking caps for the tank and others? Even when they're delivered new the bosch pumps have some test fluid in them.. If you really want to flush the petrol out, use some low odour kerosene or low odour turps. Perfectly safe for the pump and Aus post would be less worried too.

We use metho to clean the tanks out before they go OS. But you can do that or just shake it all out and wrap it up as said, just keep the odors out and package it well. Dont let the postie pple see it coz they will cause a fuss for nothing. Your limit is 105cm but you can stretch it to 120cm.
