Yeah, I was just hoping to get this little problem out of the way early. When I get it put on, I want it to be as stress free and low cost as possible. I've got about 20 bucks.
So anyway, I spun it 180 degrees, and here is a picture of what I am thinking pipe wise. I can't see any problem with it, but if I'm missing something please let me know.
I was going to try the 8 valve thermo as well, but I lost it :(
I was thinking of using the normal style rubber radiator pipes and a piece of steel tube, but then I realised normal steel tube doesn't have the lips at each end by default, so any recommendations for doing it properly? and any recommendations for doing it cheaply? Some creative ideas would be welcomed, I like excuses to go to Pick a Part and cut stuff up.

Yeah I see there is a screw-in fitment that I guessed was for the turbo. I guess some braided lines going around the back of the head for that. Also I'm having trouble deciding what car I should put it in, which makes decisions that much harder as they're very different in setup :? Oh well, get the engine assembled, then deal with that problem.

Oh and there is a blue wire with a black plug that comes out from the bottom of the DASH intake manifold - any idea what this does? It's not on my standard manifold. Intake Air Temp maybe??

A better option might be getting an exhaust shop to use a narrow flaring tool to put a small bead in it (about 10mm from the end). Local exhaust shop did all my intercooler pipes like that for me and charged me $10 for the service :)
Does it come out of a square plate with a round centre bit and four bit holes around the outside? If so that is a warming plate thing to assist cold starts. It heats up nice and quick and helps to atomise the fuel that is falling on it when the engine is cold.
I left mine disconnected, blocked off the throttle coolant lines and removed the idle stepper motor which was broken. No cold start for me :?
I was thinking of blocking off the water as well, however if it has that benefit, I might do some investigation. Would be good to have all that running when cold, but shut-off when warm. Gives me some food for thought anyway.
So does the warming plate just take a 12V feed?

Yeah I dont have any of that. Just heads and manifolds.
Would either need to be custom controlled, or maybe later on aftermarket ECU style. Unless I decide to put it in the EX, which may have things like that, I did notice it was smooth when cold, where the GSR-X farts about.

I wouldn't bother with it if I were you, I think it is more for places where they get sub zero temperatures that would make the fuel have problems atomizing.
You can have the relay from my DASH setup if you wanna set it up. I've got no use for it.
Also the water running through the intake would be of a higher temperature than the air going in (when using an intercooler), so I think I'll follow your footsteps and just leave the warmer unplugged, and the intake water-less, but I will definately keep my stepper motor :)
Also where should I be looking for the DASH Solenoid itself on the head? I hope its there :?

See how the rocker cover is higher over the part where it says SIRIUS than a normal 8valve rocker cover? Under there is the solenoid and the other interesting oil bits. I don't think it could be missing or you would have low oil pressure.
