Starion/evo oil pump DOHC convertion.

Post by T-man »

Hi all, after some head scratching and several cans of red bull I've finally got the starion pump to fit. I managed to space out very slightly the shaft for the oil pump pulley so it can accomadate the wider pulley. I shaved a bit off the pump casing where the hydraulic tensioner arm hits and made spacers for the hydraulic tensioner mounting points. Is there anything I've missed that I shouldn't use the modified starion pump?

Thanks in advance,
T-man.

If it's the water pump you are talking about then I just machined /ground off the casting bits where needed. no spacers required to hyd tensioner in my 6 bolt wide block.
I've had mine since 03 07 92
85 JB 2323cc DOHC 4G63

Use the front cover and oil pump off a 6-bolt dohc 4g63. You shouldn't have to modify anything other that the rwd water pump to make it work.
