paint schemes for me staz

Post by decoy »

well prozacs pic of his old car has put me back on the rails to install the kit and paint it all up :P theres some parts i'm thinking of colourcoding but not sure :S what do y'all think?

front: airdam gonna be red, but i wanna 1peice it to the bumper, but the thing i can't figure out is how to do it. my dilemma is the buper slots in from the front, whereas the airdam latches from INSIDE the wheel arch :S so if i 1 peice it i don't c how its gonna get back on the car :( also to colourcode the grill or not?

rear: 3peice wrap around red, but to paint no.plate garnish red and colourcode rear bumper? wish i could change the rear bumper altogether :S kinda reminds me of upwords, but sideways :S shit, this reminds me, i havn't photochopped anything in ages! fark... not even anything since austarion! looks like i've got some mocking up to do...

It's good to leave some black on it, otherwise it looks like you just painted everything on the car :)

In my opinion, leave the grill black, paint the rear bumper red. Not sure about number plate surround - I have yet to make that decision for myself.

Leave it black and tint the tail lights. Black line right across the back to break up the red.

My opinion.. don't colour code the grille or bit behind the plate... definatly need them black to separate the red.... Otherwise it looks like you've painted your car will all the trim attached :D

Yep I agree, dont touch the plastic bits.

I do recommend a rich black plastics spray paint be used to recolour them, so they look new again. The shiny rich black trimmings make an impressive difference in the cars appearance.

Leave the number plate garnish black... something just doesnt look quite right about it being colour coded...

The grill, leave black, only conquests came with it painted - but with that said, paint the rear bar completely, it updates the car to a not to 80's look.

whats behind that rubber thing on the bumper anyway? Can you pull it off.

On my car I kinda like it, its dark black rubber with silicone protectant on it, and actually looks real nice on the silver bumper. However me is thinking it wont look so great on other colours.
