Anyone ever lost their nuts....

Post by JDSTAZ45 »

I started to get a suspension noise from the front of my car after spending some time on the freeway...

A few months ago, I had a tie rod replaced and wheel alignment done and the suspension fully looked over. Everything sweet!

After coming across this new noise I thought now what?? I spent an hour under the car checking and rotating the wheels etc...
I couldn't pick it... tyre condition, dodgey caliper, warped disc, steering ???

I drove it to the local mechanic and the car was put on the hoist. After a look at the above possibilities,
the wheel was next to be taken off...
4 out of the 5 nuts were loose. Real loose! The 5th nut was the lock nut.
As my rim is black along with the locknuts it was hard to notice...

Saved by the Lock nut!! I wonder was it an attempted theft, on road vibrations or workshop???
