a lowered starion has poor wheel travel due to the length of the strut housing/ always bottoming out. When using konis, r u using a shorter insert, like from another application, that allows u to remove ~ 2 inches from the strut housin tops? If so, post the koni part # or application.
Kyb agx are adjustable, moderate priced and adjustable with tiny tool at the top of the strut piston rod. I think the mr2 ones intended for lowered ae86 corollas could work in a starion. U can cut a secton from the housing tops/ reweld the threaded portion. Will need a spacer to fill in for shorter insert. Droop is reduced too, but u should have a much better riding/ handling car that doesn't live on the bunpstops.
lowered cars/ suspension travel
When we say lowered springs we don't mean on the deck. Starion's handle very nicely (one of the best things about the car along with the brakes) why you would lower it that far is just stupid. But if you want your car to look like a rice boy POS I'm not stopping you. Hey I remember when you lowered a car to improve it's handling not to make it dangerous.

who said they didn't ? geeee, quite a revelation. "Very nicely" may satisfy you, just as a 12A turbo might. Thats not to say it does for others. Car sits too high for some. Heck, folks even think the stock wheels are ugly and $$pend to change em, even tho oe rolls 'nicely'... imagine that.

Do you think 2" is too far ? How much distance is there left between, even a trimmed bumpstop and the top of the strut housing ?
Whether a lowered starion "spells" riceboy to you is irrelevant.
camber plate, rca, shorter inserts/ modified housings, etc can make a lowered car 'safer'.... quite common around these parts. U must live amongst alot of riceboys.

Nup. My suspension was not cheap but you pay for what you dont see. Lets just say you can buy a very nice complete Starion for the same money.
Lowering a car is OK if you do it right. Remember all the geometry goes out the window once the car is dropped and it needs to be properly re -aligned and set. There are some things that need to be done to retain the correct amount of shock absorber travel so that you are not crashing the crap out of them.
- We know, we just f*cked 2 rear Konis on Marie's car and had them replaced, along with new springs to address the problem and which still may come out in a week or two if they settle too far.

I just took mine to Wilkinsons Suspension in Perth, for $1500 they supplied and fitted front coil overs with adjustable spring platform, adjustable top hats for camber , Koni/Kingspring. The rear is just a well set up Koni/Kingspring combination. If you want the part number for these i do have the invoice. I use the car for club motorsport and i works well, the front is reasonably stiff, the rear is quite a bit softer. this how the car sits on 205/50/15's www.pbase.com/image/25235152
