Post by toysrus »

Yes or No ? Please explain....or even how to tell the difference......

Thanks :P
Computer games don't affect kids I mean if PacMan affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music :D

What is a dual lock retractor?

Not sure if this helps, but they lock when you pull too hard OR if the retractor is on a funky angle. They drove me nuts when I changed doors because of that, took me a while to work it out. I guess this is so if the car was to say, fall off a cliff, it would lock the belts before the impact at the bottom. If dual lock means it locks two different ways then yes. If dual lock means it has two locks then no there is only one.

Also my EX has an emergency quick release, so they can pull your body out without having to cut the seatbelts. Its a little button that disconnects the belt from the top of the door. Kind of neato.

Oh and they're not the fancy newer design that has a soft lock before hard locking (to reduce impact). Although I'm pretty sure all replacement belts in NZ have to use that new locking mechanism.
