my sigma

Post by Chryzla »

well i thought this was funny in an upsetting way.. so i thought i would share my lack of luck.

well i knew the sigma water pump (and many other things) needed replacing because well.. they were stuffed.

i gathered all the parts (over $200 worth) and was ready to do the work on the car today (saturday). but fate got the better of me (or my driving style for that matter..) while taking a corner exceptionally fast and well... not with the rear having traction either i heard a HUGE bang and clunk. so the engine is now in pieces... working on a car on friday night sucks... thats my drinking night :(

Now. the water pump was shaking quite bad but i figured it would last another day... but alas.. the bearing blew out, blowing the fan into the radiator. dayum!!!!

i looked in the rear view mirror and saw something ive always laughed at when 'heros' stuff up, a large trail of water behind me.
i got what i deserved. :P

but yeah.. then the water pump bolt snapped off in the block and now i have to fix it. and ezyouts arent an option because its really rusted in there... drill and tap is my only option... bugger.

ah well. hope someone gets a good laugh out of this. i did a stupid thing

well after many hassles and 5 days without a car (I HATE UNRELIABLE PUBLIC TRANSPORT) i have the sigma back. and it isnt leaking oil anymore :P and new water pump etc...

very hapy.

im going to take much better care of it now..

by the way... removing the balance shafts from a 4g54 is a total waste of time... i notice no difference at all.
