electric Spraygun?

I was cleaning my dads shed and found his old electric spray gun that he used to spray the house. just wondering if I could use this to spray my bumper using automotive spray of couse?

I wouldn't.. it probably doesn't atomise very well :)

I don't think they're too bad. They're probably not as good as a air powered spraygun, but they're not that bad. Practice on something first before attacking your bumper though...

front bumper MAYBE

dont touch any of the rest of the car with it, it will look shite. There is a reason everyone uses air.
Those spray guns are for high volume, paint once and forget it kinda jobs, house walls and stuff.

Yeah i wouldnt use it to spray your car, i use one of those to spray tins with vegetable oil and it leaves splotches on the tins, i expect the same result with paint.

its not a "lil beaver' is it? My old man has one. You can't use it as its low pressure, you need a high pressure like from a air comprssor to flow the paint properly

Most real sprayguns these days are HVLP so you don't need high compressor pressure - I use around 35psi.

I have no idea what the electric one does, but as cusscuss said, they're really meant for one-coat non-shiny applications.

Hey! I used a Lil' Beaver many years ago to re-spray the Galant I had at the time - turned out great. No splotches, orange peel, nuffin'.
Starion nutter since 1988...
