Does anyone know just how many Aussie cars were imported?

1638 in total through Mitsubishi Australia

1349 were JA's (1982-1984)
289 were JB and JD's (1984-1986)

Still trying to chase up exact numbers for JB (1985) and JD (1985-1986). From the VIN #'s that I have found, looks like about 200 JB's and less than 100 JD's.

I do remember somebody put up a more definite number once upon a time. No idea where though :(

Thanks for the link, Al.

So that makes it:
JA: 1349
JB: 203
JD: 86

TOTAL: 1638

Also, thanks to Fuel for the info in the other linked thread.

Here is the article that mentions the total number of Australian Starions:

Simple maths virtually confirms it - unless we find a JB with a higher VIN # than your 203., then the number of JD's will obviously decrease. I can only find VIN # 60 for JD's, though. SO maybe we should put the search out for JB and JD VIN #'s higher than 203 & 60 respectively.

I would say the numbers are very close if they are not correct, mine was built mid 1985 i think and was first registered in 1986.
