Has anyone had this issue before?
I played around with switch on the parking brake. I looks pretty basic with a spring and plastic centre and with an end tip as a contact to trigger it on.
Could this switch become faulty??? Or is there something else that is keeping it on in the wiring? Any clues?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, Popup, you are right! It was a lowering of the brake fluid level. On the imported cars, there's one light on the dash which can mean
either Handbrake not properly released or low brake fluid level etc.
The Australian delivered cars have two separate light symbols on the dash, one as 'Park Brake'...for the lever and 'Brake' for the fluid level.
Just wish I had registered that in my brain before trying to find fault with the park lever switch and wires surrounding. A complete waste of a few hours.... :x
Anyway, all fixed now! :beer
