This topic was brought up on FB so I thought I would start it here to get a better answer.
Start listing them guys and girls :) (add the last 4 digits of the VIN if you know it):

I think charlie and mal are the only ones in nsw who prefer/have wideys
Most of the other ones are in victoria?
I must be the only person who would always choose a flatty over a lardy eh? rofl

Personally now that I own one I don't aren't as fantastic as had imagined they would be. If you own a later model flatty the widey doesn't drive any better and in some ways I find the gsrv handled better but that opinion might change once I get the widey's suspension sorted.thrash wrote:I must be the only person who would always choose a flatty over a lardy eh? rofl
Nxtime the one i have is 0156.
There is also the red one that was owned by mrb1, i think steve e owns it now.
There's at least two in victoria as well.

The widies I've owned are;
2.6 black manual #0069 current
2.6 black auto #0090 ex Charlie now Mitsumadness (Melb)
2.6 black manual #0236 recently sold to a guy south of Sydney.
Other ones in NSW not mentioned are another black one around Parkes, silver one south of Sydney, yellow LXS' one...
and all the bits & pieces to make one in my spare bedroom :D :D
Mind you there would be less than 10 GSR-V's in Australia which is a better car! Just doesn't have the presence of a widey! :beer

How many Starions do you think there are in total (of all types/body shapes/spec) in Austrialia and New Zealand? I think there are only about 20-40 left in the UK! We can check via a website how many are registered on the road (some will be unregistered off the road for repairs/resto work)

1986 UK 2 litre intercooled narrow body
Steve, Mark's old widey is a RHD converted Conquest :)
Jason's SR20-powered silver widey is also a US RHD converted Starion/Conquest. (Forgotten the member in Perth who now owns it?)
There is a Silver JDM with TD07 turbo with [HKS 51R] plates in Sydney.
scum in Perth has two - one is a Black auto that I sold to him: VIN # 0659 (1990 model)

popup, there were around 1,600-odd narrow-bodies sold in Aus new. I would say less than 40 imported privately. So not many more than 1660 cars all up.
How many are left? Probably under 400...but that is a pure guesstimate.

I'm with you Thrash, I don't need them any wider or heavier for any of my racing pursuits.thrash wrote:I think charlie and mal are the only ones in nsw who prefer/have wideys

I've driven both wideys in Victoria mentioned (Mitsumadness & bluesystems) & whilst they are nice cars, owning one won't really benefit me. If I was to bend a widey...well it'd be even more of a pain to get bits. Sure the wideys look tougher but most people don't know what these cars are regardless.
I own a JA, GSR 111 & a JB, they are all different & are more than enough for me!
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...

He said he sold his white GSRV previously.
There's 2 x 2.0 wideys with user WIDEBODYMAN here in WA as well.
