Its time to go - Starion Track car for sale

Post by WANTSOM »

The time has come to say goodbye. I put a niggle out last month to test for any realistic offers and got none so am now offering it for sale at an realistic price.

This car has taken its fair share of blood sweat and tears from me in the build and has been assembled with the best of everything, regardless of cost.

BUT........ times change, circumstances change, its time to let go and stop hanging onto a dream that wont happen.

Those that have seen it will attest to its condition and quality. Pics can be supplied on request and I will try and post some up when I get half a chance.

Basics are -

JB body - straight and nil rust and I mean nil rust. Bonds bolt in cage, Sparco Ultra race seat and Sabelt 6 point harness. Autometer guages and lap timer. Coltspeed front spoiler and Aerotech rear spoiler.
Simmons B45 wheels 15x8 rear 15x 7 front. Dunlop Semi slicks all round
Noltec coil over suspension that has been worked specifically for track duty. King springs fitted all round
4 piston brakes all round, adjustable pedal box and cabin controlled bias
4G63 Starion block with worked VR4 head. Motor has much to list but it alone cost me near on 20 grand to build. Its got all the fruit, from Hypertune inlet to GT Pumps big 20G turbo, 264/272 cams, big valves, Manley rods, Mahle M/sport pistons etc etc. Autronic SM4 ECU.
All built and tuned properly and regardless of cost.
Putting out 240rwkws on 16lb boost. It can take heaps more boost, this was a light tune when first built.
Car weighs 1100kgs dry.
It hauls arse!

$15,000 ono

pm if genuinely interested and no I'm not interested/motivated to part it out, disassemble or whatever. I have too much else going on at the moment to deal with all that.
Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.

Greg I would love to take it off your hands as I know that it was built to exacting standards.
It must have taken some soul searching to make the decision to sell.
If someone wants to buy mine I will be on the next plane to Sydney.
Good luck with the sale and with whatever the future holds for you and your family.
PS we could do a swap if you want a road reg Staz I can deliver it free and bring yours back on my "new" tandem trailer :D :beer
I've had mine since 03 07 92
